FAQ’s

Well hello there intrepid art buyers!  Here are some answers to what we hope are your most burning questions.  And if we don’t cover your question here, please feel free to contact us directly with your question.

Which countries do you ship to?

Through our partnership with DHL , we can ship to over 220 countries and territories across the globe.  We are fairly sure that we can get the art delivered to your home or business, whether you’re in Albania or Zimbabwe.

Can I buy more than one item at a time?

Yes, provided that they are all going to the same destination.  if you are shipping to multiple destinations, you should make separate purchases for each location.

Is the artwork delivered framed?

Most of our paintings are delivered as canvas stretched on a wooden frame.  A very limited number of drawings and canvases are rolled and shipped.  In either case, we recommend that you have the artwork framed in your home country.  It is certainly more cost-effective than paying the cost of a frame overseas and then adding the cost of shipping this heavy frame to your location.  The shipping cost depends on weight and volume, so we prefer to keep the weight as low as possible to minimise your costs.  And wouldn’t you want to select a great frame to go with your purple sofa and lime green cushions?  We thought so too.

Is my artwork insured?

Yes, your artwork is collected from the artist, delivered and fully insured through our partnership with DHL.  If your artwork is damaged or (heaven forbid) lost in transit, DHL’s insurance policy will apply.

How do I know that the artwork is authentic?

We deal directly with the artists and we deal int he primary market – meaning that the art that you buy is being bought for the first time.  It has had no previous owners, so the provenance is clear.  Most of the artwork is being shipped to you directly from the artist’s studio or the gallery in the country of origin.  All our artwork has been checked and inspected by a third party independent verifier – be it a gallerist, an art dealer or other professional in the art world.  Lastly, we include a Certificate of Authenticity signed by the artist or gallery owner, as your guarantee that the art is coming directly from them to you.

If I order a piece today, how quickly will my artwork arrive?

DHL usually delivers in under one week, even to remote locations like Australia!  We officially say 10 days to be safe, but it is likely to be much sooner than that.

Will I have any other costs to pay when my artwork lands?

On our site, you will pay the price of the artwork plus the shipping cost to your location.  Then, depending on the duty laws of the country that you are shipping to, you may or may not have to pay your government some duty.   In some countries some goods including artwork are duty-free and items under a certain minimum threshold do not attract any duty.   You will be notified if there is a duty charge once it lands and also here is a handy little site with country guides that can give you information before you ship: http://www.dutycalculator.com.

What if I change my mind?

If you decide that you do not want the artwork before it has been shipped – there is no problem.  Let us know within 24 hours, and we can cancel the sale and refund your sale price less any administrative charges.  Once the work has been shipped, you have seven days after arrival to do a return and  you are obligated to bear the direct cost of returning the goods via DHL and insuring the work in transit.  A link to our full returns policy is on the home page here: http://www.goglobalart.com/refund-policy/

We hope that this helps!  As always, do feel free to email us at info@goglobalart.com and someone will respond to your question within 24 hours.
